Dr. Watters is a practicing orthopaedic surgeon subspecializing in adult reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee. He attended Pepperdine University, where he was a National Merit Scholar and graduated with honors. He then attended Duke University School of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. During that time, Dr. Watters completed additional graduate training in clinical and translational science research methodology through grant funding from the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Watters completed his orthopedic surgical residency training at Duke University Medical Center and went on to complete an adult reconstruction fellowship at Colorado Joint Replacement in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Watters has authored or co-authored over 40 scientific publications and served as a speaker at numerous national and international meetings. Dr. Watters also acts as consultant to the medical device industry. His interests include healthcare, politics, science and technology. He completed his MBA at Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business in December 2018.
